We are doing VOIP retail business in UAE and Oman (VOIP ports are blocked in these regions), We are using VOIPSWITCH (www.voipswitch.com) as our softswitch and also using it\'s server/client bas tunneling technology to bypass port blocking issues.
Biggest limitation with this solution is customer must \'ve a PC on which tunnel client has to be running all the time to let customer use his ATA/IP Phone. We need this process to be Plug and Play.
Project requirement is similar to http://www.speed-voip.com/. Based upon L2TP or similar technologies we need some kind of solution that will work with our existing softswitch i-e; VOIPSWITCH, to make any kind of ATA / IP Phone device truely P&P.
Main goal of the project is to bypass port blocking issues, and making ATA / IP Phone devices to work in Plug & Play Mode.

There are two parts to our solution:
Part 1:
We suggest a simple, embedded linux based two port TCP/IP terminal adapter that presents a L2TP interface to a remote linux based host and an ethernet interface to your ATA/VoIP adapter.
The devices would be sold keyed to a remote server through the use of a removable card and a unique ID embdedded into each device.
Each embedded device would serve one or more terminal adapaters, depending on its configuration. The configuration would be a sold item.
These devices would form encripted end-points for VoIP audio.
Part 2:
One or more identical conventional Linux based LT2P servers that form the end point for the embedded devices listed above.
These servers would forward control packets to your softswitch as well as off-network real time audio to foreign VoIP hosts. Hosts within the network can transfer VoIP directly.
