We have order management system, from where we can export the data as csv format. To deliver data information to forwarding (transportation) company, they request a flat file (txt file) in a predefined structure.
The flat files consists of 2 lines per our 1 datarecord (means in CSV one line, as one record, in output file two lines)
The first line is a header information line with 412 characters in 44 numeric and alphanumeric fields. The second line contains item related informations. Some fields are obligatory, most not.
The fields have predefined lenghts.
Alphanumeric fields must be filled with blanks right aligned to the predefined length if any entry, or just blanks if no entry in datasheet.
Numeric fields must be filled with zeros left alligned to the predefined length or just zeros if no entry in datasheet.
What we need: Any solution, that imports the data from our excel or CSV sheet, converts the data to its predefined format and length, and makes an output file according to the predefined structure.
We have no idea how to make this data mapping. Anyone has a tool or any idea to serve us with a solution in very short time?
Attached is a sample of our excel sheet, the description of the flat file output, and a sample of a final txt output (these is just sample output, and does not match with our excel data sheet).
